THE JUICE THAT KICKS YOUR A$$ INTO GEAR
This is a lovely juice for flushing the body of holiday waste and flooding the body with a reboost of nutrients. It definitely perks you up and you can feel the almost immediate mental stimulation from the extreme kick of spice. That spice is also what is going to jolt your system into waking up from holiday hibernation and keep you motivated to start the new year off on the right track! The greens will alkalize and nourish, while the enzymes from the pineapple will give your tummy a little digestive cpr.
1 large handful of kale leaves (no stems)
2 bunches of cilantro (some stems are okay, just cut the base stems)
2 green bell peppers, seeds removed
2 california or anaheim peppers, seeds removed
2 jalapeños, seeds removed (if you're super sensitive you can avoid this, but it's supposed to be hot!)
1 pineapple, supremed
3 large cucumbers, sliced
4 green apples, sliced
4 limes, supremed
Cut everything into small enough pieces for your juicer. I like to rinse everything and toss into a strainer, then toss everything into a large mixing bowl as I chop.
Mix chopped ingredients and juice. (I mix so that my juicer doesn't clog from one item.)
If your juicer leaves pulp, strain at the end of juicing.
Pour juice into mason jars (or other preferred airtight storage) and keep in fridge for up to 4 days.
YIELDS ABOUT 2.5 QUARTS OF JUICE.
